Women’s Business Conference to be held in Jamestown on May 8 – Jamestown Sun

The Business Conference of Business of the Regional Jamestown of the Center will be received in Jamestown from 8am to 4:15 pm on Thursday, May 8. The event has been offered each year in person or practically since 2018. The event brings together women and men throughout the North Dakota from a variety of descent to exchange knowledge, skills development and relate to others that can help their professional growth.

The conference will provide new knowledge of the various resources available to small business owners and community members. The conference day is dedicated to individuals interested in expanding their networks. Seven presentations will be offered, and the event will be held in the bunker.

The conference will begin with the presentation of Dr. Liz Hunt on the “leadership of the servants”. Hunt is an associate professor of leadership and leadership director at the University of Jamestown. Its research interests include the creation of sense, the communication of leadership, the organizational culture and the climate, the leadership of the servants and the values ​​and the education of the character.

Molly Kocialski, Regional Director of the US Patent Office and Brands Brands for the Rocky Mountain region, will discuss the necessity of developing an intellectual property strategy for your business. As a regional director, Kocialski performs the strategic direction of the Undersecretary of Trade for Intellectual Property and focuses on the nine countries within this region through community engagement.

Ranetta Starr, Director of Community Programs at USDA Rural Development in Northern Dakota, will discuss how USDA rural development benefits rural communities throughout northern Dakota through its loans, credit guarantees, grants for individuals, businesses and communities offering funds for economic development, ownership, infrastructure ownership and ownership

Sadie Schaeffer, program manager and events for the North Dakota Women’s Business Center, will discuss the services of the organization. Founded in early 2000, the center operates to build a community of business owners, corporate leaders and economic development leaders in the business community. Over the past two decades, the North Dakota Women’s Business Center continues to provide essential programs and training events that equip individuals with the tools, links and opportunities to move forward in business. Schaeffer’s role provides extensive and important training information and training to support the development of small businesses.

The topic of internet security threats and strategies will be presented by Tanya Taplin, program director and professor of internet security at the University of Mary. Taplin is a former Internet security adviser for the North Dakota (Homeland Security/CISA) and has a distinct career dedicated to the advancement of technology within the state and the federal government, as well as the Academy. Moreover, Taplin is a member of several prominent internet security organizations, IT and his organizations.

A presentation for planning the possession events will be provided by Deidre Hillman, owner of 13th Hat LLC.
