Friday’s main boxing cards are rare.
Fortunately, this Friday’s event, set for the theater in MSG, is one of those rare cards. A legitimate world-titled war that represents Keyshawn Davis (12-0, 8 KO), a megastar on the eve, constitutes the main event while taking on Denys Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KO) in a struggle with bad blood.

The co-mainstream event can easily be its draw, and Xander Zayas (20-0, 12 KO), a developing superstar, is likely a war away from its title. Zayas faces Slawa Spomer (20-0, 11 KO).

Friday is Friday, and is not in the main building in MSG, but don’t distort-this is a fight card really that boxing fans will not want to lose.
Here’s how you can see:
- Date: Friday, February 14
- Time: 8 Afternoon et
- Location: Theater in MSG, New York City, Sh.BA
- TV/Stream: Espn Plus
Here’s a look at the fighting lineup:
- WBO World World Championship: (C) Denys Berinchyk vs KeyShatawn Davis
- Xander Zayas Vs Slawa Spomer
- Vito Mielnicki vs Connor Coyle
- Jared Anderson vs Marios Kollias
- Abdullah Mason vs Manuel Jaime
Berinchyk will defend his easy title against Davis in a war that was convincing of the strength of the talents of the fighters and the championship in question. Unfortunately, an unwanted level of tomfolery is added to the mix to sell the war.
Apparently, someone-Davis believes he was Berinchyk and/or someone from his team-wanted a racist food basket containing bananas and watermelon to the challenger, who is African American.
Some fans have dismissed him as a desperate attempt to ride the war but Top Rank has taken it seriously enough to release a statement.
If this gesture was a joke, it was a tasteless and wild. It is also a shame because boxing is riding up, and free promotional tactics undermine the progress the sport has made in terms of organic attraction.
In any case, Davis is a new dynamic star, and his crowning as a world champion has seemed inevitable since he returned a professional in 2021. Berinchyk, 36, is not interested in David’s history.

He wants to preserve the title he won in a separately upset decision to Emanuel Navarrete in May 2024. Davis’s speed, length and talent are in appearance that he is a massive favorite to win his first title World (a favorite minus-600).
At the co-main event, Zayas will have the New York crowd behind him. Puerto Rican Super Welterweight has always lit up the crowd in New York, and they will be with Spomer against.
I spoke to Zayas in December 2024, and he confirmed the live war during our interview. Zayas has made it clear that he wants a shot title if the spomer beats, and this can come against someone like Sebastian Fundora or Bakhram Murtazaliev.
Be on the observation of after the event. Here’s a look at the next boxing schedule.
The next boxing program
The year is forming another strong boxing with thousands of great fighting. Canelo-scull fits nicely on this list.
