Role Objective

Manual Osteopathic Practitioner

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient History and Assessment:
    Collect health histories from new patients including general health, lifestyle, dietary habits and current symptoms. Conduct physical examinations using palpation techniques to assess posture, muscle tension, joint restrictions and spinal alignment.
  • Treatment Delivery:
    Use hands-on techniques such as stretching, joint mobilization and osteopathic manipulation to address patient concerns.
  • Personalized Treatment Plans:
    Collaborate with patients to develop tailored treatment plans. Provide lifestyle and dietary recommendations to support overall health and recovery.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Communicate effectively with ICBC, insurance companies, other healthcare providers and team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of patient progress using electronic charting software and provide medical information when required.
  • Cross-Practitioner Support:
