San Antonio Zoo, SeaWorld, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be closed Monday; HEB will have regular hours on Mondays and Tuesdays
SAN ANTONIO – Businesses, attractions, medical offices and health care providers in the San Antonio area have announced closures Monday and Tuesday due to winter weather.
Light rain is expected to arrive in the area by Monday evening. Initially, it may not reach the ground, as the lower atmosphere is very dry.
After sunset, light sprinkles may change to light freezing rain or light snow as temperatures gradually drop. Rain will peak between midnight and sunrise on Tuesday. It is during this time frame that light rain and cold rain can turn to some light snow for some areas.

Closures for San Antonio businesses and attractions:

BELDON Roofing Company said on Monday that it will be closed for business on Tuesday, January 21.

HEB has temporarily adjusted hours for stores in Texas. Click here for a list of regular hours at San Antonio area stores.

Kiolbassa Smoked Meat at 1325 South Brazos Street will also be closed on Tuesday, January 21st. The store is expected to reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22.

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union will delay the opening of its San Antonio, Austin and Corpus Christi locations until noon on Tuesday, January 21.

San Antonio Botanical Garden will be closed Monday, January 20 and Tuesday, January 21 due to weather conditions. They plan to open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, weather permitting.

San Antonio Zoo AND The Zoo Train will be closed on Monday, January 20. Starbucks will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m

Santikos Entertainment in San Antonio, Cibolo and New Braunfels will have final performances on Monday, January 20 at 9:00 p.m. and first performances on Tuesday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Closures for medical offices and health care services:

Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Outpatient operations and non-essential and administrative services will begin at 9am on Tuesday, January 21. Pharmacy and laboratory services will also open at 9 a.m. Healthcare provision at the hospital will not change. Patients with early appointments will be contacted to reschedule.

CentroMed: All clinics in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Converse, Schertz, Cibolo and Somerset will close on Tuesday, Jan. 21, the nonprofit said in a news release.

Allergy and Asthma by Dilley said it will be closed Tuesday and expected to reopen Wednesday.

Methodist Health Ministries San Antonio area locations will close on Tuesday, January 21st. This includes: Wesley Health and Wellness Center; Dixon Health & Wellness Center; George Ricks School Based Health Center at Schertz Elementary, San Antonio Wesley Nursing and Corporate Office. Patients with an existing Tuesday appointment will be rescheduled.

South Texas Blood and Tissue: The organization said its donor centers will close at 5pm on Monday. Centers will then reopen at 1pm on Tuesday and will remain open until 5pm

University health revised hours at its community clinics before winter weather arrives, according to a news release Monday. All ExpressMed clinics will close at 6pm on Monday and reopen at noon on Tuesday. Community clinics will open at noon on Tuesday. Patients who have appointments will be asked to switch to telemedicine or reschedule. At noon on Tuesday, the outpatient rehabilitation centers will also reopen. Outpatient dialysis centers will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday. All services at University Hospital, services at University Women’s and Children’s Hospital, University Hospital procedures, ambulatory surgery centers – including radiology – and pharmacies will continue as planned and will be open for normal business hours.
