Motorola today announced its latest lineup of affordable smartphones, the 2025 versions of the Moto G Power and Moto G. This year, both models run Android 15 and come with 30W wired charging capabilities and a 50MP main camera . They also have access to 5G connectivity, including most of the C-Band spectrum in the US.

While the Moto G Power has a few more features than the Moto G, both phones fall into the budget phone category. While many companies are launching their new premium offerings—OnePlus released the OnePlus 13 and 13R last week, while Samsung plans to unveil its latest flagships on January 22—Motorola is one of the few manufacturers showing more affordable options during the CES timeline.

Moto G Power

The Moto G Power comes with a 6.8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate that is covered with Gorilla Glass 5 for drop and scratch protection. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor that packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Those who need more space can upgrade the internal storage up to 1 TB via a microSD card.

The phone comes with a 50 MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. There’s also a second 8MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture that handles both macro and ultra-wide shooting modes. A 16 MP front camera comes with an aperture of f/2.4 for selfies. All three cameras can capture full HD video at 30 fps.

The phone charges wirelessly at 15W, along with wired capabilities of 30W. It’s fully waterproof with an IP68 rating, but like the OnePlus 13, it also has an IP69 rating to protect it from hot water jets.

The Moto G Power comes in Leaf Green and Slate Gray and costs $299.99. It will be available unlocked on February 6 at Motorola.com, BestBuy.com and Amazon.com.

Moto G

The Moto G has a similar display to the Moto G Power, but is slightly smaller at 6.7 inches. It also comes with a 120Hz refresh rate that is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 to protect against scratches and drops.

The phone runs on the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor as the Moto G Power, but only comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. Once again, you can expand the storage up to 1TB by purchasing your own microSD card.

The main camera features a 50MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, while the 2MP macro vision camera has an aperture of f/2.4. A 16MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture is on board for selfies. The main camera and front camera capture full HD video at 30 frames per second, while the macro camera captures 720p video at 30 frames per second.

The Moto G isn’t capable of wireless charging, but it can charge wired at 30 W. It comes with an IP52 waterproof rating, which can withstand splashes of water, but not full submersion.

You can get it in Forest Gray or Sapphire Blue for $199.99. It will be available starting January 30 on Motorola.com, Amazon and Best Best.
